🌟 Mountainview Elementary School Counseling Spotlight

Celebrating the Impact of Ms. Meredith & Ms. Kady!

Last school year, our school counseling team worked hard to support the academic, social-emotional, and personal growth of our students. Through individual counseling, small groups, classroom lessons, student check-ins, and school-wide initiatives, Ms. Meredith and Ms. Kady connected with students across the building and helped create a safe, supportive environment where every student could thrive.

📊 Our Data Shows Our Impact!

Throughout the year, we used student data, referrals, and student feedback to monitor our impact and identify areas of need.

💙 We are proud of what we accomplished last year—and even more excited to continue building a counseling program centered around connection, prevention, and student success!

As we have officially welcomed all students back to Mountainview, a few reminders about our drop off and pick up procedures. In the morning, please stay in your car, if you need to help unbuckle your student wait until both lines of traffic are stopped. Staff will unload students car by car. We utilize both lanes for drop off and pick up, it is very important for safety concerns to stay in your car and move at the direction of staff members. At pick up, adults are to stay in their car or stand outside the car. Having the name tag visible, that way staff members can escort students to their cars.

Pastel flyer titled “Calm Bodies, Ready Minds” with simple floral illustrations. It explains that students learn best when they feel calm, rested, connected, and ready to move. The flyer highlights simple home routines that support emotional regulation and school success, including fresh air to reduce stress, movement to help manage emotions and improve focus, consistent sleep for better behavior, and family connection to build confidence and resilience. A section suggests free spring activities such as sidewalk chalk, reading outside, stretching, picnics, porch story time, nature color hunts, and walking the dog. The flyer ends by encouraging small changes at home and invites families to contact an Outreach Facilitator for support. A small illustration shows a child reading at the bottom.
